Backup/Restore Database Note: This
function is probably unnecessary for
most users. It was designed way back in the days of DOS for users running
ULTRA on a stand-alone PC. So, if
you are running off a network serve , you don't need to us this function since
you IT department backs up the server daily. Before deletion of any record occurs in the database,
you will be prompted to backup the database BEFORE the deletion occurs. Backup: You may also backup the database AT ANY TIME with
this utility, which make a copy called invplus_BACKUP.mdb
and saves it in your \invplus
folder. Restore: This function replaces the current database (invplus.mdb)
with the invplus_BACKUP.mdb
database. You will be prompted if the BACKUP database is
empty. |

Repair/ Compact Database Repair
Database: Run this utility whenever you notice any erratic behavior
in your data access. This utility can repair corrupted data and reset the
indexes for sorting. Also, this utility updates the database when new
fields are added (for upgrades and enhancement we program into the system).. Compact
Database: Be aware that, after you delete records from a
database, those records are not eliminated - they are simply filled with
blanks, so you are not really freeing up any disk space by the deletion UNTIL
you run this utility. Compaction "squeezes out the blank spaces"
in the database so that your data takes up less space and runs faster.. |

Restore If your reports have stopped working, it may be
because another application has overwritten three critical Crystal Reports DLL files on your PC's Windows/System32
folder with different ones from a later version of This utility allows you to restore the original DLL
with a single keystroke. |
|
Database Status Report This report gives you the stats of the number of records
(by category) in your invplus.mdb database. This data is
the same information that you see at sign on. |

Reset Reorder Points
on Reorder Factor This utility sets the reorder point for each item
based on the item's daily unit usage average.
1. Set the Reorder
Factor to the number of days it will take a vendor to replenish the item,
the "lag factor in days,"
so to speak. For example, setting the Reorder Factor to 30 means that this utility should calculate the average daily usage for
this item. Example: Let's
say the system calculates that 1.5 units of a certain item, on average, are requisitioned
per day. This function calculates a
new Adjusted Reorder Point of 45
or (1.5 x Reorder Point of 30). You are prompted before
the adjusted reorder points are posted. Clicking the Print button (above) generates the Before/After Reorder Point Report |
|
Tip: Don’t use this utility unless you have at least 6
months of log out history for a particular item. Don’t worry! invent!ory recognizes that you may have less
than 12 months’ history and adjusts accordingly. |

the destination text box in the program.
