Physical Inventory—UGH!
Before we can input to ULTRA the initial values of our supply items, we need to take inventory. This usually means coming in on a weekend and counting the number of units of each item in our stockroom.	Tip: Print a report to help you record the count : The Physical Inventory Report (right) which lists each supply item and gives you a place to write in the count. Choose Main Menu | Report – Current | Physical Inventory Report from the “Supplies” Tab (default tab.). Keep In mind: Now. let’s pretend we only have one item in stock and only one vendor in our example (which is of course ridiculous). So. . .we counted “100” boxes of Envelopes and wrote it down on our form. Okay, we finished out phyical inventory—whew!—and now we can set up initial values for our, ahem, supply item.
