Correcting a Log Out

Correcting Units Out

Here, in the grid, (left) you’ve logged out two orders—10 boxes to Branch1 and 5 to Branch2.

Now, you have a 3rd cued up:  15 boxes to BRANCH3.

You click "Save."

Ooops!

You meant to log out only 5 boxes to Branch3. .  .

.  .  .  but you accidentally logged out 15 boxes instead. How do you correct it?

Note: A row is selected if it is highlighted and the  selector arrow appears.

u Select and double-click the grid row of the BRANCH3 transaction in the pink grid (above).

v Change the UNITS OUT to 5 and hit "Save."

Note: Units On Hand before the correction is 70, or 10 units lower than it should be.

This confirmation message appears.

When you click "OK" will see the Units On Hand are now 80 and the Dollar Value is $800.

Look at the pink Log Out Grid below. Notice there are now 3 transactions for BRANCH3.

Correcting Transaction—>

Reversing Transaction—>

Original Transaction ——>

ULTRA leaves a "trail" when you correct a transaction and marks them with a TRANSACTION CODE.

Note: Two transactions are posted for each correction—a reversing and a correction transaction.

Transaction Codes (in the "!" column):

o = Log Out

o< = Reversal of Original Log Out

o! = Correction of Original Log Out

i = Log In

i< = Reversal of Origina Log In

i! = Correction of Original Log In

Correcting a Department Only

Follow the same steps as above to correct a department except change the department field to the correct value.

Correcting a Department and Units Out

Ooops! I meant to log out 20 units to Branch4, not 12 to Branch 44.

Units On Hand goes from 80 to 68. Wrong.

So, I need to correct both units and a department.

I select the line so that the grid row is highlighted and the  selector arrow appears (below).

Here (left) I change Units Out to 20 (from 12) and Department to Branch 4 (from Branch44).

The result? We're good.

Units On Hand goes to 60 (from 68) and $ value to $600.

Here are the three transactions.

Notice that in the 'o<' reversing entry, Branch44 is given credit for +12 units thus wiping the slate clean so the 'o!' correcting entry can post the desired values—20 units to Branch4.
